Under the hood

Under the hood, it adds a V6 six-cylinder engine which makes 305 hp, gives a better acceleration and satisfactory gas mileage. In options it offers 2.5 liters four-cylinder plus 2.4 Liters eAssist mild hybrid engine too. There are great expectations with the eAssist trim for saving fuel and improving driving impression; but this is just a pre-assumption (As eAssist could also invert it).

You must not forget the case of Buick LaCrosse which goes from zero to 60 in 9.2 seconds because of the electronic-Assist engine. Although 2014 Impala has come prepared with its new looks, contemporary features and design; yet it has some strong rivals ready for a legitimate challenge in the market like Chysler 300, Avalon and Hyndai Azera etc.
