2014 Chevrolet Impala – Review
2014 Chevrolet Impala is the 10th generation of the Chevrolet sedan models and it is renovated entirely for a better competition now, when its ninth generation was not a huge hit in the vehicle market. It had a little to offer other than a vast interior but the latest model is worthy of consideration of you are looking for a big saloon (sedan) at relatively an affordable price.
Introduction of 2014 Chevrolet Impala

Pros & Cons
Redesigned & hence Renovated, Quality materials used inside, Fun to ride. Substandard back-view camera, Engine is underpowered, fuel economy not exceptional.
(Three) LS, LT (1LT, 2LT)& LTZ (1LZ, 2LZ)
Under the hood
Under the hood, it adds a V6 six-cylinder engine which makes 305 hp, gives a better acceleration and satisfactory gas mileage. In options it offers 2.5 liters four-cylinder plus 2.4 Liters eAssist mild hybrid engine too. There are great expectations with the eAssist trim for saving fuel and improving driving impression; but this is just a pre-assumption (As eAssist could also invert it).
You must not forget the case of Buick LaCrosse which goes from zero to 60 in 9.2 seconds because of the electronic-Assist engine. Although 2014 Impala has come prepared with its new looks, contemporary features and design; yet it has some strong rivals ready for a legitimate challenge in the market like Chysler 300, Avalon and Hyndai Azera etc.

LT and LTZ trim levels receives a 3.6 liter V6 engine which gives out 305 horsepower and torque of 264 lb-ft. And the latest eAssist Impala will produce 182 hp with a 2.5 Liter four-cylinder plus 15 hp with this electric motor. It is designed for the improvement of fuel efficiency.
Chevy Impala is a front-wheeler (FWD) with six-speed automatic transmission as standard. Its performance test unveils an average result; i.e. the acceleration from zero to 60 was accomplished in 6.7 seconds. The standard fuel economy (EPA-Estimated 18/28 mpg city/highway) is not as good as it should be. Its 2.5 engine has 21/31 mpg fuel efficiency.
However, 2014 Impala is a smooth, safe and fun ride with an impressive steering which helps in handling it flawlessly. It is safe too as its brake testing results have proved with major redesigning done this year.
